Recycle Concrete

Recycle Concrete

Concrete is used in a wide range of places, from the home to commercial properties to parks and schools.We are always updating and changing things.  New roads, buildings and houses are being built. You may even be doing a bit of landscaping or knocking down an old shed in your backyard. Concrete is usually at the base of a lot of these things.  Although a heavy task the concrete sometimes need to be removed to make way for new projects.We have a range of skip bins suitable to hold concrete.  All our bin are walk in bins, sizes starting from 2m3 up to 8m3.  Unlimited Bins provide great savings for a concrete only skip bin.The hard work digging up the concrete and getting it into a skip is just the beginning of the process.Once we collect the bin our drivers return to our transfer station to tip the bin.All concrete is placed in a specific section of our transfer station.Once there is a sufficient amount, we will load a bin ready to cart the unwanted concrete to the next point to be recycled.  All the concrete we receive goes to a concrete recycle plant.From there the concrete goes through a recycling process. Any items embedded in the concrete such as steel will be removed. The concrete is run through a sifting process to sort the smaller pieces from the larger pieces.  It is then broken down using a large crusher and it is turned into road base. Road base is ideal for civil construction and commercial developments.A large amount of recycled concrete is used to make new roads.

Paying it Forward

Paying it Forward

From the colourful decorations lighting up our streets and shopping centres to the excitement of our kids writing their letters to Santa, Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year for many reasons. With the holidays on the horizon, we have the opportunity to spend more quality time with our loved ones, celebrating and reflecting on everything that we have to be grateful for.Christmas is also a time to give, however  it’s not the only time.Whether you’re volunteering your time, helping a person in need or making a donation to a cause you’re passionate about, there are endless ways to give back to our communities and believe it or not it is also great for your own health and here’s how;
  • Giving is good for your heart – lowering blood pressure, reducing chances of heart attacks and strokes
  • Generosity can keep stress at bay – our brains release a feel good chemical known as endorphins, which increases positive feelings and reduces stress levels
  • Paying it forward lowers inflammation – improving our levels of antibodies which are needed to fight off diseases
A small act of kindness is all it takes, as Troy has done; Donating not one, but two Unlimited Bins Skip bin to a local Primary School whose Principal and Staff alike work selflessly giving their support,  care and attention to the many special needs children that attend. Having a few skip bins available to clean up and de clutter their classrooms has created room for updated furniture and new equipment for the children. Troy’s generosity has given the school the liberty to apply those resources elsewhere.It may seem like a small gesture but it means a great deal to Troy.This is not the first time Troy and Unlimited Bins has given back to the community and I can guarantee it won’t be the last!Pay it forward, keep the momento going and live a healthier life!

Increasing our Fleet for North Melbourne Skip Bin Hire

Our fleet of trucks has expanded. In the Northern Melbourne suburbs we have seen an increase in the number of people doing quick yard clean-ups on weekends and other small projects that require mini skip hire options. To keep up with this demand we have added a brand new truck to our fleet to allow us to better accommodate our customers and deliver our mini skips faster.This extra truck also frees up our drivers and vehicles to better improve our delivery times on our more commonly hired walk in bin services too.
