We’ve put together a list of frequently asked questions we most regularly hear at Unlimited Bins.

How do I book a bin?

Head across to our “Get a Quote/Book a Bin” section on our Home Page. Otherwise feel free to call our friendly staff direct on (03) 9460 5333. Our hours are: Monday to Friday 7am to 4.30pm, Saturday 7am to 12pm.

How much notice is required to book a bin?

We offer same day deliveries in most cases, however, to ensure you receive the exact bin you’re after, we advise to book at least a day or two ahead of your required delivery schedule.

How can I pay for the bin?

Payment is on delivery of the bin to your site. Cash, Credit Card or Electronic Funds Transfer are all accepted. You can also prepay* online via Pay Pal or Credit Card. *Payment (via online) must be received before bins are delivered.

Are there any extra charges?

Surcharges will apply to tyres and mattresses. Some goods require additional treatment or processing, after they’ve been sifted through at our own transfer station. This is why they incur extra charges due to council costs, etc. They are as follows:

  • Car tyres are charged at $20.00 each
  • Mattresses are charged at $50.00 each, irrespective of size
What waste do you not accept?

We accept most waste with the exemption of oil, tins of liquid paint, gas bottles, asbestos, chemical waste in solid, liquid or powder form including garden and household chemicals. Insulation must be bagged and labelled.

Do you remove asbestos?

As this is a hazardous and specialist area, we do not remove or accept asbestos into our bins. Please refer to Yellow Pages for Asbestos Removalists.

What happens to my waste?

Waste is taken to our Transfer Station in Reservoir where as much as possible is retrieved for recycling. The remainder is sorted for transfer to other sites. Some materials deemed non-recyclable will ultimately end up as landfill.

Will I need a permit?

Where any bin is placed onto Council Property (e.g.: nature strips or roads) we are required to gain a Council Permit from whichever relevant council your property resides in. We arrange the permit on your behalf and carry out the insurance required. As permit costs vary across councils, you will need to contact our office (03) 9460 5333 to find out more.

Can I organise my own permit?

No. Unlimited Bins already has the appropriate Liability Insurance required by the councils to have your bin placed on council property.

Can I specify a delivery and pick up time?

We generally try to meet your specified times by supplying a two-hour window for delivery/pick up. This is to account for traffic hold ups and other bookings in place. Please note in busier periods we may be heavily booked, so it pays to book early to avoid disappointment.

Can I set up an Account?
